Starting 2026 with Joy!

It's going to be a very happy and "joyful" 2026!
I don’t often pause to reflect publicly, but this one felt worth sharing.

This piece in The Globe and Mail gave me space to talk about something very dear to our hearts and very important to me and my family: joy. Not the loud kind. Not the curated kind. The quiet, everyday kind that tells us why we keep going, especially when the world feels heavy and uncertain.

My family’s journey has taught me many things. I often reflect on resilience and how it is not built only through strength and not even through strategy. I know for certian that it is built through people. Through small acts of kindness that show up at the right time. Joy, for us, has always been a compass that has helped us rebuild and move forward after loss.

I am grateful for the chance to reflect on that, and thankful to everyone who has been part of this journey along the way.
